Puppy Dog (1)

1.  Housden’s Galkerah Raphael   Reserve Best Dog and Best Puppy In Show   Flashy blk/tan male that shows true Min Pin spirit.   Correctly marked and balanced throughout.  Good forechest, correct bone, and tight cat feet with pencil marks. Balanced head with strong underjaw.  Correctly shaped dark eye, well set ears, used well.  Good length of neck, flowing into strong level topline with bang on tailset.  Movement erratic but once settled has good hackney action. Won BPIS over his litter sister on cleaner rear movement.

Limit Dog (4,1)

1.  Baldwin’s Nightstorm Mick Marmalizer JW   Showy Blk/tan male that I have admired from ringside and I was not disappointed.  Smart, balanced and enough depth and bone with super movement both in profile and coming and going to complete the typical Pin.  Masculine head with strong underjaw, small ears set on high.  Darkest eye of correct shape.  Strong sloping topline and correct tail set.  Good tight feet with pencil marks.  In good coat and such a happy boy though impatient to his handler on the stand as only a Pin can.  My pleasure to award him Best Dog and Best In Show.

2.  McLean’s Kuri Kuri With Kilmuir    Loved this male’s movement, almost textbook “controlled hackney gait” though a little wide in front coming at me.  Balanced head proportions, super small ears set on high and correct shape to eye and superb arch to his neck.  Coat coarser than 1 and preferring topline, tailset and bend of stifle of the winner.  Good forechest and short-coupled with plenty of depth.

3. Wilkinson’s Keljantzi Quite Quackers JW   Similar to 2nd, shorter and stockier throughout and carrying extra weight across his shoulders. Lovely head with strong underjaw, super small ears set on high and dark eye.  Clearly defined markings with tight cat feet with pencil markings.  Moved well but like 2, wide in front coming at me.

Open Dog (10,8)

1. Hewitt’s Ch Catamyrann Pieces of Eight  Lovely male, showing well with typical Pin spirit.  Balanced head proportions, Lovely shaped dark eye, strong underjaw and good earset.  Good length of neck into strong topline and correct tail set.  Clearly defined tan markings.  Cat feet with pencil marks, nails could be shorter.  Moved ok.

2. French & Storey’s Keljantzi’s Orinspiring  Balanced head proportions and strong underjaw, another with correct eye shape.  In good coat and condition.  Good length of neck into strong topline just preferring tailset of the winner.  Moving wider in front coming at me.

Veteran Dog (2,1)

1.  Wilkinson’s Keljantzi’s Epimethus  11 years young, short-coupled and still displaying typical Pin spirit.   Balanced head proportions and strong underjaw.  Clearly defined markings and cat feet with pencilmarks.

Minor Puppy Bitch (1)

1.  McLean’s Kilmuir Coral Sky   Red female of lovely size, balanced head good ear set, dark eyes and nails and dark pigment.  This young madam at her first show was just not co-operating with her handler.  I would like to see her again if she is ever to lose her stubborn streak.

Puppy Bitch (7,2)

1.  Housden’s Galkerah Macy Gray  Reserve Best Puppy In show   Clear winner of this class.  My notes say “Loved her!”  Blk/tan with clearly defined tan markings.  Balanced head proportions, strong underjaw, correct shape and dark eye, ears larger than I prefer yet balance her head and are well set and used to advantage.  Strong yet elegant neck flowing into strong topline and correct tailset.  She has just enough depth, good forechest and bone with tight cat feet with pencilmarks.  RBPIS losing out to her brother on his cleaner rear movement.

2. Wilkinson’s Keljantzi’s Sunday’s Child   Blk/tan with good head with small ears, lovely arched neck and good cat feet with pencilmarks. Just preferring the topline, angulation and movement of 1.

3.  Moyes’ Keljantzi’s Sweet Success At Ymar   Litter sister to 2 and many attributes apply, although her topline and tailset are stronger she just loses out to her sister whose movement was cleaner.

Junior Bitch (2)

1.  Haggart’s Kilmuir Kamaka In Zonat  Best Bitch and Reserve Best In Show   Just loved her, so well made of ideal size.  So full of breed type and character yet not overdone in any way.  Though head still to finish, it is balanced with strong underjaw, dark eye of correct shape, superb small ears.  Good length of neck flowing into short strong topline. Good depth and body with balanced angulation, lovely bone and excellent cat feet with pencil marks.

2.  Housden’s Galkerah Macy Gray

Yearling Bitch (4,2)

1.  Haggart’s  Kilmuir Kamaka In Zonat

2. Moyes Dobri’s Tantalizer at Ymar  Showy blk/tan of nice size with clearly defined tan markings.  Nice bone and tight cat feet with pencil marks. Longer in loin than 1 causing a dip behind the withers in the topline and her underjaw is not as strong. Ear set is not to her advantage spoiling her expression.  Shows well for her handler who gets the best from her.

Maiden Bitch (3,1)

1.Haggart’s Kilmuir Kamaka In Zonat

2.  Housden’s Galkerah Macy Gray

Novice Bitch(6,4)

Graduate Bitch(2) Absent

Post Graduate Bitch (4,2)

1.  Window’s Estivals Agent Provocateur with Mapekim  Lovely size well marked blk/tan.  Balanced head with strong underjaw and good earset.  Tight cat feet with pencil marks. I forgave lighter, rounder eye for overall breed type and performance. Considered for RBB losing out on the stronger topline/tailset.

2.  Griffiths’  Zakro War & Peace At Pimentos  similar to 1 on a slightly taller framebut  just preferring the body and overall angulation of 1.

Limit Bitch (7,4)

1. Phillips Saragosta A touch of Magic At Pimentos  Lovely blk/tan with strong topline/tailset,  tans just starting to fade.  Balanced head in proportion to body, correct dark eye.  Ideal for size with elegance. Excellent cat feet with pencil marks showing well, so attentive to her handler.  Lost out in the challenge on weaker rear movement.

2.  Pollard’s Polmadann Minpinamy   Blk/tan ideal for size, compact body, balanced head with strong underjaw, correct dark eye and small ears well set.  Dark tan, cat feet with pencil marks. Nails could be shorter.  Preferring topline/tailset of 1.

3.  Wilkinson’s Vardene Maybe Marnie via Keljantzi

Open Bitch (10,5)

1.  French’s Keljantzi’s Quick Asa Flash  Lovely head proportions, strong underjaw, dark eye of correct shape.  Good forechest with depth and short-coupled. Shows well and moves with lift though wide in front when coming at me. Reserve Best Bitch.

2.  Sommerville’s Sunkist Vixen With Stormhold   Thought this clear red girl would be the winner of this class as she certainly “fills the eye”.  Unfortunately she was tucking her back legs under her which gave the impression of a roaching topline.  Preferred the topline and balanced head of 1 although she has a strong underjaw and dark enough eye for a clear red.  Lovely bone, and short-coupled well made body and good depth and moves and shows well.

3.Pollard’s Polmadann Minipinamy

Veteran Bitch (5,4)

1.  Wilkinson’s Keljantzi’s Demetria  Alys JW  Best Veteran In Show 13 years young and so full of Min pin attitude. Balanced head proportions with strong underjaw. Good ear set, using them well.   Good length of neck and short-coupled. Attitude and vigourous movement won her BVIS over her kennelmate.
